▸ About Land Rover in Thailand

Compiled from the Thai distributor's own site, launch press and government records. Every claim carries a source, and anything we could not verify is marked [unverified] rather than guessed · ~22 min read

At a glance

  • Distributor: Inchcape (Thailand) Co., Ltd., 4332 Rama 4 Road, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110. The address is in the footer of every page of the official site (landrover.co.th). Inchcape says Inchcape Thailand "has been the exclusive distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover since its establishment in 2016" (inchcape.com — Thailand).
  • Entered Thailand: decades before 2016; first entry date [unverified]. Inchcape took over distribution in 2016 (as above).
  • First BEV: Range Rover Electric. Orders opened 2026-09-07 through Inchcape. Deliveries are expected in early 2027 and the Thai price is "to be announced" (Motorist, 2026-09-07; Incars Magazine, 2026-09-07).
  • BEVs on sale (as of 2026-11-03): none. Two are upcoming: Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric.
  • Showrooms: 2 sales showrooms and 1 service centre, all in Bangkok. The official retailer locator lists "3 Retailers" (landrover.co.th/retailer-locator).
  • Current BEV price band: none. No Thai BEV price has been published. Every EV derivative in the official Thai configurator data carries a price of 0 (not priced) as of 2026-11-03 (RR models-and-specifications, RR Sport models-and-specifications). The official Thai price sheet linked from every page ("ดูราคา", "Effective from 1 August 2026") lists only diesel and plug-in hybrid Defender, Velar, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover derivatives, with no BEV row (TH_LandRover_PriceSheet.pdf, checked 2026-11-03).
  • Import: CBU from the UK. Both BEVs are built at JLR's Solihull plant (carwizard, Incars Magazine, Thairath — Sport Electric).

Land Rover is the most expensive mainstream luxury SUV brand in the Thai market. Before the BEVs, its electrified line-up was PHEV only. The Range Rover Electric is the first all-electric Range Rover; JLR unveiled it globally on 2026-09-02 (Wikipedia — Range Rover (L460)). The Range Rover Sport Electric followed on 2026-09-30 (Wikipedia — Range Rover Sport (L461)). Jaguar and Land Rover are not exhibiting at Motor Expo 2026 (gap lead from the 2026-11 workflow, not re-checked) [unverified].

Thai spelling. The official Thai site writes the brand แลนด์โรเวอร์ ("สำรวจแลนด์โรเวอร์", "ความคลาสสิกของแลนด์โรเวอร์" — landrover.co.th). Thairath writes Range Rover as เรนจ์โรเวอร์ ("ผู้แทนจำหน่ายรถยนต์เรนจ์โรเวอร์อย่างเป็นทางการ" — Thairath, 2026-10-06).

Distribution & business

Inchcape plc is a UK-listed global vehicle distributor. Its Thai business distributes Jaguar, Land Rover and Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, and its distribution team covers "importation to inland logistics and vehicle handover to customers" (inchcape.com — Thailand). Inchcape also retails the cars directly: both Bangkok showrooms are Inchcape branches.

The official Thai site is built on JLR's global template. Some pages list derivatives or equipment that may not be offered in Thailand. For example, the Range Rover configurator lists EV450 versions, and the First Edition equipment list includes a NACS charge port. Facts taken only from that template are marked ◐ below.

Charging network partners

  • Home: 0–100% in 7 h on a 22 kW AC charger, or 19 h on a 7 kW home charger (both official BEV pages: RR Electric page, RR Sport Electric page). The Sport Electric page adds an optional Range Rover home charger with a recommended home-installation service ("การติดตั้งเครื่องชาร์จ Range Rover ซึ่งเป็นอุปกรณ์เสริม"). The RR Electric page only links to an "explore chargers" page and does not mention it.
  • Public: only the Sport Electric page mentions a "Range Rover charging service" (one app and card for partner networks) and Tesla Supercharger access. Both are footnoted "มีให้บริการเฉพาะในบางตลาด" (available in some markets only). No named Thai charging partner [unverified].

Warranty terms

  • Vehicle: 3 years / 100,000 km, whichever comes first. This is Land Rover Thailand's standard warranty, not an EV-specific one (landrover.co.th — warranty).
  • Extended warranty: optional, a further 3 years / 100,000 km (same page).
  • High-voltage battery: 8 years / 160,000 km, whichever comes first, for both Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric (RR Electric page, RR Sport Electric page).
  • Roadside assistance: free for the first 3 years; hotline 1-40-1-888-222 or 02-305-8508 (warranty page).
  • Parts & accessories: 12 months (same page).
  • Wallbox: optional extra, not included. Neither page mentions a launch offer.

Range Rover Electric — full-size luxury BEV SUV (upcoming)

The battery-electric version of the fifth-generation Range Rover (L460). JLR calls it "the quietest Range Rover ever". It competes with the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric, BMW iX and Mercedes EQS SUV.

Lineage & platform

  • Generation: L460, fifth-generation Range Rover. The BEV is model year 2027 on the Thai site ("รุ่นปี 27").
  • Platform: a modified version of JLR's MLA architecture (Wikipedia — L460).
  • Shared with: Range Rover Sport Electric (same 118.5 kWh pack, dual-motor 550 PS drivetrain).
  • Architecture: 800 V (RR Electric page).
  • Origin: built at Solihull, UK, on the same line as the MHEV and PHEV Range Rovers (Motorist, carwizard). Thailand gets it as a CBU import from the UK.
  • Global unveil: 2026-09-02 (Wikipedia — L460).

Thai line-up (announced, not priced)

Thai trade press reports the Thai order book as Autobiography, SV, SV Ultra and SV Black, each in standard (SWB) and long wheelbase (LWB), plus the First Edition (Motorist, Incars). Incars notes that LWB availability varies by market.

The official Thai configurator data lists these EV derivatives, all at price 0 (not priced) on 2026-11-03 (models-and-specifications):

The trim summary on models-and-specifications agrees: in the SWB tab, SE, HSE and Autobiography each carry an "ไฟฟ้า" (electric) option. In the LWB tab, Autobiography is offered with petrol or PHEV only, and the 7-seat LWB tab has no electric option. The LWB Autobiography EV550 key therefore appears only in the configurator data, which is JLR's global template. Thairath lists Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition, with Black Pack and Satin Wrap options, but says Thai trim details and equipment are still to be announced (Thairath). The official page shows Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE and Autobiography plus a First Edition section (RR Sport Electric page).

Thairath mentions both a 550 PS and a 450 PS version, and says Dynamic Response Pro (including all-wheel steering) is standard on 550 PS and optional on 450 PS. This is the same global-template data as the Range Rover configurator. The spec values attached to these keys are combustion figures (for example 550 Nm at 2,000–5,000 rpm and a 242 km/h top speed on the Dynamic SE P450e BEV), so no figure is taken from it. The trim → output mapping is therefore ◐. The official Thai page publishes figures for the ev550-awd ("550 PS AWD (Thai trim details TBA)"), for the 550 PS drivetrain.** The named Thai trims replace it once Inchcape publishes a published for it.
