▸ About Rolls-Royce in Thailand

Compiled from the Thai distributor's own site, launch press and government records. Every claim carries a source, and anything we could not verify is marked [unverified] rather than guessed · ~18 min read

At a glance

  • Distributor / retailer: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok, run by MGC-ASIA — "the only authorised retailer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Thailand since 2012" (Rolls-Royce newsroom, 2024-08-09). Thai press calls it "the sole official Rolls-Royce distributor in Thailand", under Millennium Group Corporation (Asia) PCL (Autolifethailand, 2025-06-12, Thairath, 2025-06-12, Autolifethailand, 2026-02-17).
  • First BEV launched: Spectre, Thai launch 2023-10-03, "ราคา อย่างเป็นทางการ (นำเข้า CBU) เริ่มต้น 31,800,000 บาท" (Autolifethailand).
  • BEVs on sale (as of 2026-11-03): Spectre ฿31,800,000 and Black Badge Spectre ฿41,500,000, both last confirmed at the Bangkok International Motor Show on 2026-03-25 (Thairath English, 2026-03-25).
  • Showrooms: the Galleria boutique, 991 Rama I Rd, 2nd floor (South) — Siam Paragon — and the Rama 3 site, 999 Rama 3 Rd, Bang Khlo, Bang Kho Laem, both Bangkok (official dealer page, read 2026-11-03; Rolls-Royce newsroom, 2024-08-09). A Phuket boutique opened in 2017; the official dealer page does not list it, so whether it is still open is [unverified].
  • Current BEV price band: ฿31,800,000 – ฿41,500,000 ("starting" prices, before Bespoke options).
  • Import: CBU from the Goodwood plant, West Sussex, England (Autolifethailand "นำเข้า CBU"; Wikipedia — Goodwood plant).

Rolls-Royce is the most expensive brand in the evchu catalogue by a wide margin: the cheapest Spectre costs about three times a BMW i7 M70. The Spectre is a two-door, four-seat electric coupé built on the marque's own aluminium spaceframe, not on a BMW platform. Volume is tiny — at least 13 Thai first registrations from March 2024 to January 2026 (see Sales).

Thai spelling. Autolifethailand writes the brand โรลส์-รอยซ์ in its tags (en dash "โรลส์–รอยซ์" in body text; its headlines use the Latin "Rolls-Royce"); Thairath writes โรลส์-รอยซ์ too (Thairath, 2025-06-12). the dealer โรลส์–รอยซ์ มอเตอร์คาร์ส แบงคอก, and the model สเปกเตอร์ ("โรลส์–รอยซ์ แบล็คแบจ สเปกเตอร์") (Autolifethailand, 2025-06-12).

Distribution & business

MGC-ASIA (Millennium Group Corporation (Asia) PCL) is a listed Thai luxury-auto group; its home page lists Rolls-Royce among its partner brands, and its head office is on Lat Phrao Road, Bangkok (mgc-asia.com, business at a glance). Rolls-Royce's own newsroom dates MGC-ASIA's sole authorised-retailer status to 2012 (newsroom, 2024-08-09). The official dealer page says Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok opened "its doors in 2012", "is a wholly owned subsidiary of MGC-ASIA", and "is the only authorised dealer partner of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in the Kingdom of Thailand" (rolls-roycemotorcars.com/bangkok, read 2026-11-03). A 2017 Phuket-opening press release names the operating company "Millionaire Auto (Thailand) Company Limited" under "Master Group Corporation (Asia)" (Bangkokbiznews PR) — that wording does not match MGC-ASIA's registered name, so the operating subsidiary's registered legal name is [unverified].

People: Krisda Sawamiphakdi, General Manager, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok (August 2024, newsroom); Chatchai Keawphongsri (ฉัตรชัย แก้วผ่องศรี; spelled "Keawphongsri" on the dealer site), General Manager (June 2025, February 2026 and the dealer page on 2026-11-03, Thairath, Autolifethailand, dealer page). Irene Nikkein, Regional Director Asia-Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Pricing practice. Every Rolls-Royce is built to order and most carry Bespoke content, so Thai prices are published as "starting from" figures. Thairath notes that import taxes and options often push the final price well above the base (Thairath English, 2026-03-25). Thai press does not publish option prices.

Warranty terms

Thai launch terms (Autolifethailand, 2023-10-03, updated 2026-03-31):

  • Vehicle: 4 years, unlimited mileage
  • High-voltage battery: 10 years (mileage not stated)
  • Service plan: all labour costs covered (duration not stated)
  • Roadside assistance: 24-hour

The official Bangkok ownership page (rolls-roycemotorcars.com/bangkok, read 2026-11-03) says roadside assistance covers "the first four years", and that Rolls-Royce Service Inclusive can extend cover after "the initial four years" by two, three or five years (up to nine), on Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan and Spectre. It states no battery warranty.

Rolls-Royce announced on 2026-02-05 "an unprecedented 15-year, unlimited mileage battery warranty, offered as standard to new and existing Spectres" (Rolls-Royce newsroom). The release names no markets; whether Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok applies it is [unverified].

Spectre — two-door, four-seat ultra-luxury electric coupé

The first fully electric Rolls-Royce (newsroom). It sits on Rolls-Royce's own aluminium spaceframe rather than a BMW platform, though its motors are BMW eDrive units.

Lineage & platform

  • Generation: Spectre (now retro-named Series I), revealed 2022-10-18, first deliveries Q4 2023 (newsroom — Spectre unveiled); model year 2024 (Wikipedia).
  • Platform: "Architecture of Luxury", Rolls-Royce's all-aluminium spaceframe, shared with Phantom VIII and Cullinan (newsroom — Spectre unveiled, Wikipedia). The battery is integrated into the structure under the floor and acts as almost 700 kg of sound deadening.
  • Electrical architecture: "Decentralised Intelligence", linking more than 1,000 vehicle functions (same source). Battery voltage [unverified] — not stated by any source consulted.
  • Motors: two separately excited synchronous motors (BMW eDrive) (Wikipedia, Autolifethailand BB).
  • Origin: built at Goodwood, West Sussex, England (Wikipedia); imported to Thailand CBU (Autolifethailand).
  • Successor: Spectre Series II, revealed 2026-06-02 — not yet launched in Thailand (see Announced but not yet on sale).

Trims

Both trims are listed current as of 2026-11-03. The latest price confirmation found is 2026-03-25/31; no source after Series II's June 2026 reveal says whether Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok is still taking Series I orders or now quotes Series II. The dealer site's model menu (shared with the global site) already lists only "Spectre Series II", which points to Series I being superseded, but no Thai source dates its end. Re-check when a Thai Series II launch is reported.

Spectre — ฿31,800,000

Pricing. "ราคาอย่างเป็นทางการ (นำเข้า CBU) เริ่มต้น 31,800,000 บาท" (Autolifethailand, 2023-10-03, updated 2026-03-31); "Spectre (Standard) 31,800,000 baht" (Thairath English, 2026-03-25). Two independent Thai trade-press sources agree — ✓. No launch special or intro offer was reported. Price unchanged from launch to the last calls it Standard, after Thairath's "Spectre (Standard)", so the site shows "Spectre Standard" beside "Spectre Black Badge".

Announced but not yet on sale

  • Spectre Series II — revealed 2026-06-02 (newsroom); public-road debut in Stockholm 2026-10-23 (newsroom). 442 kW / 1,015 Nm; "re-engineered battery cell technology" gives up to 18% more range, 582–628 km WLTP (21.7–20.2 kWh/100 km), and charging times are "reduced by up to 14%". Black Badge Spectre Series II: 500 kW in Infinity Mode, up to 1,100 Nm in Spirited Mode, 578–628 km WLTP. New Gradient Two-Tone paint, Ethereal Blue, Duality Twill and Placed Perforation interiors. Battery capacity and charging power not stated. Thailand: no launch, price or timing announced as of 2026-11-03 — nothing on Autolifethailand's Rolls-Royce tag page or Thairath's Rolls-Royce tag page, and Rolls-Royce is not in the Motor Expo 2026 booth list (2026-12-02 to 12-13) (Autolifethailand tag, Thairath tag, Autolifethailand — Motor Expo 2026 booth plan). The model menu on Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok's pages (shared with the global site) lists "Spectre Series II" and no longer a Series I Spectre, but the Bangkok site has no Series II page, price or date (dealer page, read 2026-11-03). even an upcoming row yet. It matters for buyers: a Thai Series II launch would retire the Series I trims above.
  • Project Nightingale — Rolls-Royce's first Coachbuild Collection model, fully electric, open-top with a cashmere soft-top, 100 units worldwide, deliveries from 2028 (Thairath, 2026-05-18); Thairath's 2026-05-24 headline says it is sold only to selected, long-standing clients (Thairath tag page).
