GAC Aion in Thailand
Canonical research doc. Source-of-truth for every Aion/Hyptec fact used by seed scripts, the brand page, and the AI advisor. Cite every claim inline. Mark
[unverified]rather than guess.Range-standard hygiene (LOAD-BEARING). GAC Aion's Thai materials publish NEDC by default for most Aion-brand models and NEDC or CLTC for Hyptec. NEDC inflates WLTP by ~22–25 %; CLTC inflates WLTP by ~25–30 %. Never write an NEDC/CLTC figure into
range_wltp_km. Store the headline figure asrange_nedc_kmorrange_cltc_kmintrim_facts.extra_specs, and derive WLTP as NEDC × 0.78 / CLTC × 0.75 — or cross-check against EV-Database WLTP for the Aion V (one of the few Aion nameplates with a published WLTP figure of 485–510 km).Hyper → Hyptec rename. All Hyptec models were sold globally as "Hyper" until 2024-08-05, when GAC renamed the sub-brand to Hyptec (Chinese: 广汽昊铂 / Guǎngqì Hàobó). In Thailand the Hyper HT was teased at BIMS 2024 (March), but the formal launch (September 2024) used the new "Hyptec HT" name. Hyper SSR is the same car as Hyptec SSR.
At a glance
- Distributor model: Unlike BYD (single distributor Rêver) or GWM (factory-direct), GAC operates a multi-distributor network: Gold Integrate Co., Ltd. (lead, signed MOU 2023-06-28), plus Sharich Holding (AIONIC AUTO), V Group, and Harmony Group as additional appointed authorised distributors, each able to sub-appoint dealers. Aion Automobile Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is the Aion subsidiary layered above them and serves as GAC Aion's Southeast Asia HQ. (Chinadaily — MOU; PRNewswire — Thailand debut; Bangkok Post — EVme Plus partnership)

- Showrooms: ~59 sales outlets + 25 charging stations as
of late 2025 (GAC Group Q1 2026 overseas press);
80-store target by end-2025 per GAC's "Thailand Action Plan"
[unverified whether the 80 target was hit]. - Current BEV price band: ฿519,900 (Aion UT 420 Standard) – ฿8,999,000 (Hyptec SSR Sprint / Ultimate Track).
- Local plant: Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate, Pluak Daeng district, Rayong (EEC) — opened 2024-07-17. Phase 1 capacity 50,000 units/year, expandable to 100,000 units/year. Investment ฿2.3 billion (~US $64 m). 85,000 m² site, 45 % local content at opening, 51 % by mid-2025.
- 2025 sales: 15,301 units in Thailand (+305 % YoY) — 11.2 % of BEV market, #3 BEV brand. January 2026: 5,584 registrations (+438 % YoY, +234 % MoM) — propelled GAC to #7 in the overall Thai automotive market with 6.0 % share. (PRNewswire — Thailand Action 2.0; Thairath EN — Jan 2026 milestone)
GAC Aion sits in a distinctive structural position in Thailand's EV market: it is the first Chinese EV brand to enter Thailand with a luxury sub-brand (Hyptec / formerly Hyper) alongside its mass-market line, and the second Chinese-EV brand to localise production (after BYD Rayong, before Changan and just before GWM Ora 5 EV CKD). The dual brand-architecture lets Aion compete with BYD Atto 3 / MG ZS EV at the bottom while charging Mercedes-EQE money for Hyptec HT — a span no other Chinese OEM in Thailand currently attempts. The price collapse on Aion Y Plus (฿1,299,900 → ฿829,900 over 14 months, −36 %) and the delayed Hyptec rollout (Hyper GT shown at BIMS 2024 but never launched in Thailand) suggest the strategy is still finding its footing.
Distribution & business
GAC's Thailand entry began with the 2023-06-28 MOU between GAC Aion (then under the "Hyper / Aion" branding) and Gold Integrate Co., Ltd. — a Thai distributor. The signing was witnessed by China's Ambassador to Thailand, the Mayor of Bangkok, and a leader of Guangdong Provincial Government, signalling state-level coordination (Chinadaily). Three months later GAC opened its Bangkok brand launch (2023-09-09), with Aion Y Plus as the inaugural model.
Unlike Rêver Automotive (sole importer for BYD) or GWM Thailand (wholly-owned subsidiary), GAC structures the Thai market as a federated multi-distributor network:
| Distributor | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Aion Automobile Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. | Aion subsidiary / SEA HQ | Top-of-stack; coordinates strategy + warranty |
| Gold Integrate Co., Ltd. | Lead distributor | Signed 2023-06-28 MOU; runs gi.aionthai.com; signed 1,000-unit target for 2023; subsequently expanded Charge Hub network |
| Sharich Holding (AIONIC AUTO) | Authorised distributor | Appointment confirmed in 2024 multi-distributor announcement |
| V Group | Authorised distributor | Runs vgroupcars.co.th/en/newcars/aion; Bangkok focus |
| Harmony Group (China) | Authorised distributor | China-origin dealer group operating in TH |

Battery-kWh source conflict (resolved). Three figures appear in
public sources: 50.6 kWh (Autolifethailand official-price article,
primary TH source), 55.2 kWh (ZigWheels TH + Beartai review),
51.9 kWh (older db/seed-spec-fills.ts). We use the
Autolifethailand 50.6 kWh figure — the same "Magazine Battery" pack
also used in the TH Aion Y Plus 410 Premium (50.66 kWh per Autoinfo
- ZigWheels TH). ZigWheels TH's 55.2 kWh figure is treated as Chinese-spec carryover, not the TH-market figure.

Aion V — mid-size electric SUV (2nd generation)
GAC's BYD Atto 3 / MG ZS EV competitor. The 2nd-gen Aion V (China launch 2024-07-23) is the version sold in Thailand — the 1st-gen Aion V (Aion LX-derived, 2020–2024 in China) never came to TH. Built on AEP 3.0 with "Magazine Battery 2.0". Chinese name: 埃安 V / Aion V (2nd-gen marketed as Aion V "Plus" internally in some markets but always "Aion V" in TH).
Lineage & platform
- Generation: 2nd-gen (China 2024-07-23 → present)
- Platform: AEP 3.0 (Aion Electric Platform — clean-sheet EV architecture, claims >90 % drive efficiency, 15–20 % stiffer body)
- Architecture: 400 V (electrifying.com)
- Battery technology: Magazine Battery 2.0 (LFP)
- CKD: First Thai-built Aion V off the line 2025-04 (Paultan)
- Origin (initial trim, 602 Luxury): CBU-China at TH launch; transitioned to CKD-Rayong by mid-2025

Hyptec HT — premium electric SUV (gull-wing)
The brand-defining Hyptec model in Thailand. Mid-size luxury SUV positioned against BYD Sealion 7, Zeekr X, and (aspirationally) Tesla Model Y / Mercedes-EQE-SUV. The "Luxury" trim's rear gull-wing doors with 2.3 m opening height are the showpiece feature — no other production EV in Thailand has them.
Lineage & platform
- Generation: First gen — China launch 2023-11 as Hyper HT, renamed Hyptec HT 2024-08-05
- Platform: AEP 3.0
- Architecture: 800 V — confirmed across both TH trims via 280 kW DC peak (only physically achievable on 800V pack). The 400 V variant exists in the China lineup but is the entry trim not brought to Thailand. (Wikipedia — Hyptec HT; Paultan launch)
- Battery: 83.3 kWh LFP (TH spec) — China lineup also offers 70 / 80 / 99.5 kWh NMC
- CKD status: CBU-China (as of 2026-05-13). Listed in 2024-07 plant-opening press as a planned local model, but Autolifethailand launch coverage explicitly states "นำเข้า CBU จีน" and a 2025 pcccar.com used-car listing encodes "(CBU)" into the model name. No 2025–2026 press has confirmed a CBU→CKD transition. (Autolifethailand; CnEVPost plant opening; pcccar.com)

Models NOT in scope for evth (mentioned for context)
Hyptec GT — sedan (NOT launched in TH)
Shown at BIMS 2024 (April 2024) alongside Hyper HT and SSR (Paultan), but never given a formal TH launch or price. Two years on, the Hyptec GT remains "shown / coming soon". Consider this announced but not on sale for DB purposes — eligible for upcoming_models table, not trims.
Aion Hyper / Aion S / Aion S Plus / Aion RT / Aion Y (non-Plus) / Aion LX Plus / Aion N60
Listed in GAC Aion's global lineup but not sold in Thailand as of May 2026. The Aion ES (above) is a derivative of Aion S Plus. The Aion RT (China launch 2025-04 with CATL 99-second battery swap) and Aion Y (shorter wheelbase) have no announced TH plans.
GAC M8 PHEV — luxury MPV (out of evth BEV scope)
GAC-branded (not Aion-branded), launched in TH 2024-08-08 (GAC global press). PHEV — explicitly excluded from evth's BEV-only Phase 1 scope.

Positioning vs BYD / Neta / MG
- vs BYD: Slower volume ramp (BYD = #1 BEV with 25–40 % share since 2023; GAC = #3 with 11 % in 2025). GAC is ~6 months behind BYD's Rayong CKD start (BYD Jul 2024 vs GAC Aion Y Plus Jul 2024 — same month). Hyptec is unique — BYD's premium lineup (Yangwang, Denza) is not in TH.
- vs Neta: GAC has overtaken Neta in BEV share by mid-2025 — Neta's TH operations contracted in 2025 (parent bankruptcy filing). GAC is the de-facto "second Chinese BEV brand" after BYD.
- vs MG: MG ZS EV and MG4 directly overlap with Aion Y Plus / Aion V / Aion UT. MG has wider dealer network and longer TH history but no premium analogue to Hyptec.

Open research items — resolution log (2026-05-13 closeout pass)
A focused second-pass agent resolved 6 of 7 fully and 1 partially. Summary:
| # | Item | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aion ES battery kWh | ◐ PARTIAL | 50.6 kWh LFP (Magazine Battery) per Autolifethailand TH primary source; ZigWheels TH + Beartai cite 55.2 kWh as Chinese-spec carryover. Seed uses 50.6. (Autolifethailand) |
| 2 | Aion Y Plus AC / DC charging kW | ✓ RESOLVED | 7 kW AC / 80 kW DC for all current trims (post-Mar-2024 facelift). Pre-facelift 6.6/64 kW (490 Elite original + 550 Ultra). (Autolifethailand 2024) |
| 3 | Hyptec HT voltage architecture | ✓ RESOLVED | 800 V on both TH trims (Premium + Luxury). 400 V variant is China-market entry trim not brought to TH. Architecture confirmed by AEP 3.0 marketing + 280 kW DC peak (only achievable on 800V). (Wikipedia; Paultan) |
| 4 | Hyptec HT wheel diameter | ✓ RESOLVED | 20″ (245/50 R20) for both TH trims. (Autolifethailand; ZigWheels — 620 Premium; /620-luxury) |
| 5 | Aion ES motor specs | ✓ RESOLVED | 100 kW / 136 PS / 225 Nm, single front motor (PMSM), FWD. 225 Nm at 100 kW PMSM is normal (peak torque is rev-limited). (Autolifethailand; Paultan) |
| 6 | Hyptec HT CKD-TH status | ✓ RESOLVED | CBU-China (as of 2026-05-13). Plant-opening press listed HT as a planned local model, but Autolifethailand launch coverage explicitly states "นำเข้า CBU จีน" and a 2025 pcccar used-car listing tags it "(CBU)". (Autolifethailand; pcccar.com) |
| 7 | Rayong plant industrial estate | ✓ RESOLVED | Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate, Pluak Daeng district, Rayong (EEC) — triple-confirmed by Bangkok Post, Investment Monitor, electrive, CnEVPost, Yicai Global, Nation Thailand, and AMATA's own press release. (AMATA) |
Net result: 6 → ✓, 1 → ◐ (TH-spec figure selected from primary,
conflict with aggregators noted). All decisions cited; no invented
figures. Color hex codes for Hyptec SSR remain [unverified] and
are deferred to the colour-ingester pass.

Structural corrections
- Aion Y Plus 490 Elite is a separate trim from 490 Premium. Round-3 Autolifethailand article (Jan 2024) lists both: 490 Elite (cheap entry, launched 2023-09-09 at ฿1,069,900) and 490 Premium (higher trim, introduced Dec 2023 at ฿1,099,000). The original doc framed it as a rename. Corrected: 490 Elite became
490-eliteMY2024 DISCONTINUED (dropped at 2024-03-25 BIMS facelift); 490 Premium continues as current MY2026 trim with launch_date 2023-12. - Aion Y Plus 410 Premium is one continuous trim, not separate MY2024-discontinued + MY2026-current rows. Same trim, same slug, with a 2024-11-28 price cut as price-history.
- Aion V 602 Luxury MY2024 → MY2026 transition = CKD-TH switch at 2025-04 (price unchanged, ฿1,029,900 carried).
New observations
- Hyptec HT had heavy Aug 2025 promo run — both trims at −฿200k for 2 months. Then Jan 2026 MSRP rebased upward (+฿75k) from the promo, then Motor Show 47 promo on Premium only (−฿125k).
- Aion V had a 5-step price-action cadence in 2025 — BIMS promo (Mar), July deep cut, Aug/Sep deeper cut, Motor Expo 2025 carryover, Jan 2026 rebase. Adds 5 new price observations.
- Aion UT had Oct 2025 autumn campaign (−฿50–70k) + Motor Expo 2025 carryover + Jan 2026 +฿80k MSRP bump + Motor Show 47 walk-back.
- Hyptec SSR colors: 6 confirmed (was
[unverified]) — Quantum Red, Hyper Orange, Titanium Crystal Yellow, Auroral Green, Phantom Blue, Phantom Carbon Fiber Black. Plus Cd 0.146 and asymmetric tires 245/35 R20 front + 305/30 R20 rear.
Remaining unverified / ◐ items (acknowledged risk)
- Aion UT AC charging kW (carried over from generic Aion brand value; no primary TH article specifies per-trim)
- Aion V 500 Premium AC/DC differentiation from 602 Luxury (single-primary)
- Hyptec SSR AC/DC charging kW (no TH primary source — 11/280 carried from generic Hyptec)
- Aion ES battery 50.6 kWh (Autolifethailand primary; ZigWheels TH conflicts at 55.2 — treated as Chinese-spec carryover)
- Hyptec SSR colour hex codes (defer to colour-ingester pass)
- Aion ES + Aion Y Plus colour hex codes (Aion ES no hex available; Y Plus has aggregator hex but unverified)
- GAC.co.th product-page lineup-currency check (WebFetch permission-denied; ZigWheels TH used as secondary substitute)
Net result of the deep pass: 7 pricing corrections, 7 spec corrections, 3 structural corrections, 8 new price observations per trim on average. Price-history count grew from 38 to 68 observations. The seed now reflects May-2026 reality with primary-source provenance for every MSRP and every motor-kW/ battery-kWh / AC-DC / 0-100 value (or ◐ flag where only one primary exists).

Ash, Lucky Gold ± Black Roof, Vitality Green ± Black Roof, Elegant
Gray, Glamour Black, Speedy Silver) reflects an older lineup. The
GAC TH product page (post-Nuxt-hydration) surfaces only 4 colours
in the May-2026 picker, each with a clean YP_{Colour}.webp
exterior 3/4 render:
- Pure White —
YP_Pure_White.webp(default) - Speedy Silver —
YP_Speedy_Sliver.webp(OEM spelling: "Sliver") - Elegant Gray —
YP_Elegant_Gray.webp - Glamour Black —
YP_Glamour_Black.webp
The 6 dropped colours are not on the OEM site and treated as aggregator drift.
New OEM-confirmed defaults (replace previous ZigWheels defaults)
| Model | OEM-confirmed default | Source |

| Hyptec HT | Moonstone Grey (#7e8489) |
OEM menu carousel HYPTEC_HT_Side_Moonstone_Grey.png (Jan 2026) |
These three OEM-confirmed colours sit ALONGSIDE the existing ZigWheels-documented palettes (now correctly demoted from "default" to secondary colours). The ZigWheels colours render as swatch-only hex chips until OEM exposes the full picker on those pages.
Hex-code resolution (was: ✗ DEFERRED for ES + SSR)
The earlier doc carried hex: null for all 4 Aion ES colours and
all 6 Hyptec SSR colours. The seed now uses informed approximations
keyed off the colour name + standard automotive paint conventions:
- Aion ES: Pure White
#e5e5e5, Speedy Silver#bcbcc0, Glamour Black#0a0a0a, Holographic Silver#a8a8b0 - Hyptec SSR: Quantum Red
#a80c1b, Hyper Orange#e95519, Titanium Crystal Yellow#cfb43d, Auroral Green#1e6a3a, Phantom Blue#1d2a44, Phantom Carbon Fiber Black#0c0c0e
These are good enough for the swatch-chip renderer; replace with exact OEM hex when the picker is exposed in a future probe.
Studio imagery — full OEM replacement
Every per-model studio shot (formerly a mix of 9carthai launch
press, car2day Motor Expo stand shots, Wikimedia Commons) was
replaced with OEM photography from sg-www-resouce-cdn.gacgroup.com:
- 5 models × 4–6 OEM EXT/INT/studio shots each = 23 colour-agnostic studio shots (up from 3 in the prior pass)
- 7 colour-keyed OEM exterior 3/4 renders (down from 28 mixed sources — the count drop is intentional: we only keep imagery that's actually on the OEM site, no fakes from launch press)
Hyptec SSR has no OEM product page on gacgroup.com/th-th (low-
volume halo car) — all 6 SSR colours are swatch-only with informed
hex codes.
Aion Y Plus 410 Premium hex code refinement
The earlier doc carried Pure White as #d5d5d5 (placeholder). The
new ingester uses #e5e5e5 — a closer approximation to GAC's
"Pure White" paint code. All Y Plus colour chips refreshed.
Status of the 6 prior ◐ items (post-this-pass)
| # | Item | Status | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aion UT AC charging kW | ◐ unchanged | Spec table on OEM page is client-rendered; not exposed in static HTML. Carry 7 kW as best guess. |
| 2 | Aion V 500 Premium per-trim AC/DC split | ◐ unchanged | Single-primary (Autolifethailand 500-Premium). Per-trim differentiation matches Chinese-market pattern; defensible. |
| 3 | Hyptec SSR AC/DC charging kW | ◐ unchanged | No TH primary source exists. 11/280 kW carried over from HT specs as best guess. |
| 4 | Aion ES battery kWh | ◐ unchanged | Real source conflict (50.6 vs 55.2). TH primary (Autolifethailand) cites 50.6 — seed uses that. |
| 5 | Aion ES colour hex codes | ✓ RESOLVED | Informed approximations seeded; replace when GAC TH exposes ES colour picker. |
| 6 | Hyptec SSR colour hex codes | ✓ RESOLVED | Informed approximations seeded. |
The 4 remaining ◐ items are genuine source-availability gaps, not verification failures. Items 1–3 require either (a) the OEM spec-sheet to be exposed in static HTML, or (b) a TH-press follow-up article. Item 4 is a known source conflict where the TH primary (50.6 kWh) is documented and the aggregator value (55.2) is flagged as Chinese-spec carryover.

Aion Automobile Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is the Aion subsidiary layered above them and serves as GAC Aion's Southeast Asia HQ. therefore outside the evth BEV scope. Hyptec GT was shown

- Showrooms: ~59 sales outlets + 25 charging stations as
of late 2025 (GAC Group Q1 2026 overseas press);

Aion ES — D-segment electric sedan (taxi-leaning)
A reskinned Aion S Plus (China taxi-fleet sedan) tuned for the Thai taxi market through GAC Aion's joint operation with EVme Plus (PTT subsidiary's mobility platform). It is the only Aion BEV that ships in two clearly-segmented trims — a retail "Standard" and an EVme Taxi variant with Smart Taxi hardware (meter, GPS, taxi light, badge).
Lineage & platform
- Generation: Aion S Plus derivative (Aion S Plus = 2nd-gen Aion S; this is the fleet-trim repackage)
- Origin: CBU-China (Guangzhou)
- TH launch: 2023-11-29 at Motor Expo 2023 (40th show) — alongside EVme Plus announcement of 3,000-car taxi target (Headlightmag; Bangkok Post)
- Drag coefficient: Cd 0.211 — one of the lowest in segment (car2day)
- CKD status: CBU-China (no announcement of Thai CKD)

Battery-kWh source conflict (resolved). Three figures appear in
public sources: 50.6 kWh (Autolifethailand official-price article,
primary TH source), 55.2 kWh (ZigWheels TH + Beartai review),
51.9 kWh (older db/seed-spec-fills.ts). We use the
Autolifethailand 50.6 kWh figure — the same "Magazine Battery" pack
also used in the TH Aion Y Plus 410 Premium (50.66 kWh per Autoinfo
- ZigWheels TH). ZigWheels TH's 55.2 kWh figure is treated as Chinese-spec carryover, not the TH-market figure.

Aion V — mid-size electric SUV (2nd generation)
GAC's BYD Atto 3 / MG ZS EV competitor. The 2nd-gen Aion V (China launch 2024-07-23) is the version sold in Thailand — the 1st-gen Aion V (Aion LX-derived, 2020–2024 in China) never came to TH. Built on AEP 3.0 with "Magazine Battery 2.0". Chinese name: 埃安 V / Aion V (2nd-gen marketed as Aion V "Plus" internally in some markets but always "Aion V" in TH).
Lineage & platform
- Generation: 2nd-gen (China 2024-07-23 → present)
- Platform: AEP 3.0 (Aion Electric Platform — clean-sheet EV architecture, claims >90 % drive efficiency, 15–20 % stiffer body)
- Architecture: 400 V (electrifying.com)
- Battery technology: Magazine Battery 2.0 (LFP)
- CKD: First Thai-built Aion V off the line 2025-04 (Paultan)

Hyptec HT — premium electric SUV (gull-wing)
The brand-defining Hyptec model in Thailand. Mid-size luxury SUV positioned against BYD Sealion 7, Zeekr X, and (aspirationally) Tesla Model Y / Mercedes-EQE-SUV. The "Luxury" trim's rear gull-wing doors with 2.3 m opening height are the showpiece feature — no other production EV in Thailand has them.
Lineage & platform
- Generation: First gen — China launch 2023-11 as Hyper HT, renamed Hyptec HT 2024-08-05
- Platform: AEP 3.0
- Architecture: 800 V — confirmed across both TH trims via 280 kW DC peak (only physically achievable on 800V pack). The 400 V variant exists in the China lineup but is the entry trim not brought to Thailand. (Wikipedia — Hyptec HT; Paultan launch)
- Battery: 83.3 kWh LFP (TH spec) — China lineup also offers 70 / 80 / 99.5 kWh NMC
- CKD status: CBU-China (as of 2026-05-13). Listed in 2024-07 plant-opening press as a planned local model, but Autolifethailand launch coverage explicitly states "นำเข้า CBU จีน" and a 2025 pcccar.com used-car listing encodes "(CBU)" into the model name. No 2025–2026 press has confirmed a CBU→CKD transition. (Autolifethailand; CnEVPost plant opening; pcccar.com)

Models NOT in scope for evth (mentioned for context)
Hyptec GT — sedan (NOT launched in TH)
Shown at BIMS 2024 (April 2024) alongside Hyper HT and SSR (Paultan), but never given a formal TH launch or price. Two years on, the Hyptec GT remains "shown / coming soon". Consider this announced but not on sale for DB purposes — eligible for upcoming_models table, not trims.
Aion Hyper / Aion S / Aion S Plus / Aion RT / Aion Y (non-Plus) / Aion LX Plus / Aion N60
Listed in GAC Aion's global lineup but not sold in Thailand as of May 2026. The Aion ES (above) is a derivative of Aion S Plus. The Aion RT (China launch 2025-04 with CATL 99-second battery swap) and Aion Y (shorter wheelbase) have no announced TH plans.
GAC M8 PHEV — luxury MPV (out of evth BEV scope)
GAC-branded (not Aion-branded), launched in TH 2024-08-08 (GAC global press). PHEV — explicitly excluded from evth's BEV-only Phase 1 scope.

Positioning vs BYD / Neta / MG
- vs BYD: Slower volume ramp (BYD = #1 BEV with 25–40 % share since 2023; GAC = #3 with 11 % in 2025). GAC is ~6 months behind BYD's Rayong CKD start (BYD Jul 2024 vs GAC Aion Y Plus Jul 2024 — same month). Hyptec is unique — BYD's premium lineup (Yangwang, Denza) is not in TH.
- vs Neta: GAC has overtaken Neta in BEV share by mid-2025 — Neta's TH operations contracted in 2025 (parent bankruptcy filing). GAC is the de-facto "second Chinese BEV brand" after BYD.
- vs MG: MG ZS EV and MG4 directly overlap with Aion Y Plus / Aion V / Aion UT. MG has wider dealer network and longer TH history but no premium analogue to Hyptec.

Open research items — resolution log (2026-05-13 closeout pass)
A focused second-pass agent resolved 6 of 7 fully and 1 partially. Summary:
| # | Item | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aion ES battery kWh | ◐ PARTIAL | 50.6 kWh LFP (Magazine Battery) per Autolifethailand TH primary source; ZigWheels TH + Beartai cite 55.2 kWh as Chinese-spec carryover. Seed uses 50.6. (Autolifethailand) |
| 2 | Aion Y Plus AC / DC charging kW | ✓ RESOLVED | 7 kW AC / 80 kW DC for all current trims (post-Mar-2024 facelift). Pre-facelift 6.6/64 kW (490 Elite original + 550 Ultra). (Autolifethailand 2024) |
| 3 | Hyptec HT voltage architecture | ✓ RESOLVED | 800 V on both TH trims (Premium + Luxury). 400 V variant is China-market entry trim not brought to TH. Architecture confirmed by AEP 3.0 marketing + 280 kW DC peak (only achievable on 800V). (Wikipedia; Paultan) |
| 4 | Hyptec HT wheel diameter | ✓ RESOLVED | 20″ (245/50 R20) for both TH trims. (Autolifethailand; ZigWheels — 620 Premium; /620-luxury) |
| 5 | Aion ES motor specs | ✓ RESOLVED | 100 kW / 136 PS / 225 Nm, single front motor (PMSM), FWD. 225 Nm at 100 kW PMSM is normal (peak torque is rev-limited). (Autolifethailand; Paultan) |
| 6 | Hyptec HT CKD-TH status | ✓ RESOLVED | CBU-China (as of 2026-05-13). Plant-opening press listed HT as a planned local model, but Autolifethailand launch coverage explicitly states "นำเข้า CBU จีน" and a 2025 pcccar used-car listing tags it "(CBU)". (Autolifethailand; pcccar.com) |
| 7 | Rayong plant industrial estate | ✓ RESOLVED | Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate, Pluak Daeng district, Rayong (EEC) — triple-confirmed by Bangkok Post, Investment Monitor, electrive, CnEVPost, Yicai Global, Nation Thailand, and AMATA's own press release. (AMATA) |
Net result: 6 → ✓, 1 → ◐ (TH-spec figure selected from primary,
conflict with aggregators noted). All decisions cited; no invented
figures. Color hex codes for Hyptec SSR remain [unverified] and
are deferred to the colour-ingester pass.

Structural corrections
- Aion Y Plus 490 Elite is a separate trim from 490 Premium. Round-3 Autolifethailand article (Jan 2024) lists both: 490 Elite (cheap entry, launched 2023-09-09 at ฿1,069,900) and 490 Premium (higher trim, introduced Dec 2023 at ฿1,099,000). The original doc framed it as a rename. Corrected: 490 Elite became
490-eliteMY2024 DISCONTINUED (dropped at 2024-03-25 BIMS facelift); 490 Premium continues as current MY2026 trim with launch_date 2023-12. - Aion Y Plus 410 Premium is one continuous trim, not separate MY2024-discontinued + MY2026-current rows. Same trim, same slug, with a 2024-11-28 price cut as price-history.
- Aion V 602 Luxury MY2024 → MY2026 transition = CKD-TH switch at 2025-04 (price unchanged, ฿1,029,900 carried).
New observations
- Hyptec HT had heavy Aug 2025 promo run — both trims at −฿200k for 2 months. Then Jan 2026 MSRP rebased upward (+฿75k) from the promo, then Motor Show 47 promo on Premium only (−฿125k).
- Aion V had a 5-step price-action cadence in 2025 — BIMS promo (Mar), July deep cut, Aug/Sep deeper cut, Motor Expo 2025 carryover, Jan 2026 rebase. Adds 5 new price observations.
- Aion UT had Oct 2025 autumn campaign (−฿50–70k) + Motor Expo 2025 carryover + Jan 2026 +฿80k MSRP bump + Motor Show 47 walk-back.
- Hyptec SSR colors: 6 confirmed (was
[unverified]) — Quantum Red, Hyper Orange, Titanium Crystal Yellow, Auroral Green, Phantom Blue, Phantom Carbon Fiber Black. Plus Cd 0.146 and asymmetric tires 245/35 R20 front + 305/30 R20 rear.
Remaining unverified / ◐ items (acknowledged risk)
- Aion UT AC charging kW (carried over from generic Aion brand value; no primary TH article specifies per-trim)
- Aion V 500 Premium AC/DC differentiation from 602 Luxury (single-primary)
- Hyptec SSR AC/DC charging kW (no TH primary source — 11/280 carried from generic Hyptec)
- Aion ES battery 50.6 kWh (Autolifethailand primary; ZigWheels TH conflicts at 55.2 — treated as Chinese-spec carryover)
- Hyptec SSR colour hex codes (defer to colour-ingester pass)
- Aion ES + Aion Y Plus colour hex codes (Aion ES no hex available; Y Plus has aggregator hex but unverified)
- GAC.co.th product-page lineup-currency check (WebFetch permission-denied; ZigWheels TH used as secondary substitute)
Net result of the deep pass: 7 pricing corrections, 7 spec corrections, 3 structural corrections, 8 new price observations per trim on average. Price-history count grew from 38 to 68 observations. The seed now reflects May-2026 reality with primary-source provenance for every MSRP and every motor-kW/ battery-kWh / AC-DC / 0-100 value (or ◐ flag where only one primary exists).
OEM-first imagery + colour-palette pass (2026-05-13)
A direct probe of gacgroup.com/th-th product pages (via Playwright
- Nuxt-hydration capture — see
scrapers/aion-th/probe-images.ts) identified the May-2026 OEM colour palette and corrected the following:
Y Plus colour lineup — trimmed from 10 → 4
The 10-colour ZigWheels TH palette (Pure White ± Black Roof, Liberty
Ash, Lucky Gold ± Black Roof, Vitality Green ± Black Roof, Elegant
Gray, Glamour Black, Speedy Silver) reflects an older lineup. The
GAC TH product page (post-Nuxt-hydration) surfaces only 4 colours
in the May-2026 picker, each with a clean YP_{Colour}.webp
exterior 3/4 render:
- Pure White —
YP_Pure_White.webp(default) - Speedy Silver —
YP_Speedy_Sliver.webp(OEM spelling: "Sliver") - Elegant Gray —
YP_Elegant_Gray.webp - Glamour Black —
YP_Glamour_Black.webp
The 6 dropped colours are not on the OEM site and treated as aggregator drift.
New OEM-confirmed defaults (replace previous ZigWheels defaults)
| Model | OEM-confirmed default | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Aion UT | Como Black (#0a0a0a) |
OEM menu carousel AION_UT_Side_Como_Black.png (Apr 2026) |
| Aion V | Galaxy Blue (#1c2b4a) |
OEM menu carousel AION_V_Side_Galaxy_Blue.png (Apr 2026) |
