Why

This lands the same way as the Changan-group resolution (changan / deepal / avatr) for analogous reasons:

  1. Retail experience is partially separated in Thailand. Chery brand has its own website (chery-thailand.com) and its own dealer-signage rollout (separate from Omoda & Jaecoo showrooms). Omoda and Jaecoo share showrooms (co-located under "OMODA & JAECOO" signage) but a Thai consumer shopping for a Jaecoo J6 EV will not see Chery V23 in the same showroom — and vice versa for someone walking into a CHERY showroom looking at the V23 and Tiggo PHEVs.
  2. Pricing tiers and product positioning don't fully overlap. Chery Q — A-segment city BEV hatchback

Chery's A-segment 5-door city BEV, the cheapest Chery-brand vehicle in Thailand. ASEAN-debut at BIMS 47 (Bangkok International Motor Show 2026) on 2026-03-23; retail prices announced 2026-06-24 and first deliveries in July 2026. Thailand is the first market outside China to launch it.

Trim ladder corrected 2026-08-16. Until the official price announcement this doc guessed the ladder from the trim names and had it backwards — Qool as entry, Quint as mid, Qlick as top. Price-source note (why the DB was wrong)

Between the BIMS debut and the June price announcement the Q trims had no published price. A gap-fill patch (patch_2026_05_15_chery_q_estimated) put estimated figures (฿399k / ฿449k / ฿499k) into trim_facts.current_msrp_thb, and because db/reconcile.ts ranked every patch_* source above the hand-curated brand seeds those estimates were published as though they were manufacturer MSRPs — on trims simultaneously marked status='current'. Two rules came out of it:

  1. A source whose own name says estimated must never outrank curated research. reconcile.ts now ranks explicitly-estimated patches below the seed tier.
  2. An estimate belongs in price_history with price_type='announced' (or in an *_unverified extra_spec), never in current_msrp_thb.
